SAPCA AWARD 2026 FOR SUSTAINABILITY

We are proud to announce that CocoTurf has won the 2026 SAPCA Sustainability Product of the Year Award, with the trophy presented at the SAPCA Annual Conference & Awards Dinner on 26 February 2026 at the Allianz Stadium, Twickenham.

Tom Walton accepted the award on behalf of our team, celebrating what is a significant milestone for Notts Sport and for sustainable innovation within playground and sport surfacing.

The SAPCA Awards represent a benchmark of excellence across the sports and play sector. Winning in the Sustainability category recognises CocoTurf’s pioneering approach to eliminating plastic from artificial surfaces.

Unlike traditional synthetic playground systems, which rely heavily on plastic fibres and synthetic materials, CocoTurf is manufactured using natural coconut husk fibres combined with natural rubber latex backing. By removing plastic entirely, we prevent microplastics at source and reduce long-term disposal challenges for schools, local authorities and community operators.

This award highlights the growing importance of sustainable construction practices within our industry and reinforces our commitment to developing environmentally responsible solutions without compromising on performance, durability or safety.
